Taylor Swift to Duet with Tim McGraw, Keith Urban

Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift is teaming up with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban at the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards.

The "22" singer - who is up for five awards - will duet with Tim on the track "Highway Don't Care," accompanied by Keith on guitar, at the event on Sunday in Las Vegas. The country trio originally recorded the song for Tim's 12th album, Two Lanes of Freedom, which was released in February, and last performed it live at the Grammy Awards.

Other all-star duets announced for the night include Stevie Wonder, who is to perform with Hunter Hayes, and co-hosts Blake Shelton and Luke Bryant who will team with Brad Paisley for "Boys Round Here." Luke has a busy night ahead of him as he is also set to perform his new single "Crash My Party," as well as being up for four different trophies, including Entertainer of the Year.

"It's all a dream. All I ever wanted to be is a big old country star, and I cannot believe it's happened. It's the time of my life, and I'm loving every day," he recently said.

First CMA Nominations Revealed

Taylor Swift at the CMAsTaylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson were among the nominees unveiled for this year's Country Music Association (CMA) Awards.

Five categories - Female Vocalist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year - were announced live on Good Morning America this morning by Jason Aldean, with the singer finding himself in the running for two awards.

Taylor and Kelly will battle it out with Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood in the Female Vocalist category, while the "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" singer is also in the running for Entertainer of the Year. For that prize, she faces competition from Jason, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton.

Jason and Blake are also up for Male Vocalist of the Year alongside Eric Church, Luke Bryan and Keith Urban. Eli Young Band, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, The Band Perry and Zac Brown Band are shortlisted for Vocal Group of the Year.

Kirsten Bell to Host CMT Music Awards with Toby Keith

Kristen BellKristen Bell and Toby Keith will host this year's CMT Music Awards.

The House of Lies actress and the "Made in America" singer will present the annual ceremony, which takes place in Nashville, Tennesse on June 6.

"Toby Keith and Kristen Bell are a terrific one-two knockout punch for the 2012 CMT Music Awards. Toby has been involved with our show every year since its inception and Kristen is as entertaining and witty as any young actor working today. We're thrilled to have them both as hosts for this year's show," John Hamlin, SVP, Music Events and Talent, CMT, told US Weekly.

"Country music makes me happy," Kristen said of presenting the awards.

Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Chesney, Little Big Town, Brad Paisley and Zac Brown Band are already confirmed to be performing at the awards with more acts set to be announced in teh coming weeks. Carrie leads the nominations with five nominations while Miranda Lambert has four and Taylor Swift received three.

Girls Rule at Country Music Awards

Taylor Swift, 21, earned the Entertainer of the Year title at the Academy of Country Music Awards, an awards show that became a girls’ night when Miranda Lambert took home four awards of her own. Swift gave Lambert a hug before she made her way to the stage to accept the night’s big award.

“I’m just losing my mind,” she said of the win. “The fact that this is from the fans makes it so special.”

Lambert lost the Entertainer of the Year title, but she was the biggest winner of the night. She won an award for best song, single record and video of the year for “The House That Built Me.” She was also named as top female vocalist for the second year in a row.

CMAs Hit Repeat: Underwood, Paisley to Host Again

Brad Paisley and Carrie UnderwoodMTV may have decided against using Russell Brand as a three-time host, but the Country Music Association has no problem with three-peats.

On November 10, country music lovers will see llinCarrie Underwood and Brad Paisley center stage at the CMAs once again. The two have been a hosting team at the annual event for the past two years.

“Carrie and Brad have done a tremendous job hosting, and we are very happy to have them back again this year,” Steve Moore, CMA’s Chief Executive Officer, explained about the decision. “They have developed a natural rhythm and have a great rapport with the audience - both in the house and with our fans watching at home. They each have a great sense of humor and timing, which are two essential ingredients for hosting a live awards broadcast.”

The 44th Annual CMA Awards will air live from 8:00-11:00 p.m. ET on ABC.

Carrie Underwood’s Historic Win at ACMs

Carrie Underwood has just been named Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards.

The singer made history at the Las Vegas ceremony last night after becoming the first woman to win the prestigious accolade twice, beating off competition from , Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and the Zac Brown Band.

Upon accepting the honor, Carrie - who was also given a special Triple Crown award in recognition of her scooping Entertainer of the Year, Top Female Vocalist and Top Newcomer in the course of her career - said: “I think I just got make-up all over ... Thank you, God, praise the Lord.”

Trio Lady Antebellum were the big winners at the ceremony, held at the MGM Grand hotel, taking home five prizes, including Song of the Year and Single Record of the Year for their hit “Need You Now” - with both categories giving them two prizes as they also wrote the track.

Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood and are going head-to-head in this year’s Country Music Television (CMT) Music Awards nominations. Underwood’s “Cowboy Cassanova” is up for both Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year in the award show’s preliminary round of voting - both categories Swift’s “You Belong With Me” is also nominated in. Swift picked up the awards in both categories in both 2008 and 2009 for “Our Song” and “Love Story” respectively.

Taylor Swift is Country Music’s Entertainer of the Year

“I’ll never forget this moment because in this moment everything that I have ever wanted has just happened to me.”

Should start packing her bags and call it a career? One week after wowing critics with her humor on Saturday Night Live, the 19-year-old reached a professional high when she perfected a clean sweep at last night’s CMA Awards.

After collecting wins for Female Vocalist of the Year, Music Video of the Year (“Love Story”) and Album of the Year, she ended the evening with the event’s biggest award: Entertainer of the Year. Swift is now the youngest person to ever win that prize and the first solo woman since Shania Twain in 1999 to do so.

Underwood, Paisley Return as CMA Hosts

Brad Paisley and Carrie UnderwoodIf it feels like 2009 is a rehash of 2008, there might be reason. First, Russell Brand is asked to host the VMAs for the second time. Now, and Brad Paisley are being given return gigs.

Last year’s Male and Female Vocalists of the Year will once again front the CMAs during the broadcast this fall. Combined, the two country stars have already racked up a total of 16 award from “Country Music’s Biggest Night.”

“I am thrilled to get the chance to co-host the CMAs for a second time with my pal, Carrie,” Paisley said. “This year we’ll pull out all the stops, like a miniature poodle balancing act, tightrope walking, and a new world record for the number of costume changes by my co-host. Don’t miss it!”

The 43rd Annual CMA Awards will air live November 11 on ABC.
